As a driver you can now take payments securely by Pay by Link.  This feature is now active and live on the driver companion PDA. This is useful when a passenger requests to pay by card and this will allow YOU to send a payment link via SMS text to your passenger.

On pressing pay-by-link icon SMS Text will now be sent to the passenger, as well as, a QR code will be displayed on your PDA.  You will also have a “cancel pay-by-link” driver command, and the vehicle won’t be cleared until the payment is completed. If the payment fails a “payment required” message will be sent to the PDA.

You will see the card payment button on your fare screen. 

You can now use the card payment button while on the Fare Screen.

If you selected this button and you swipe to complete the booking, the passenger will be sent a Pay By Link via SMS text, or can scan the QR code on screen if the SMS text was not received.

 

Passengers will click on the secure link and enter their card details to complete the payment. If successful, the driver will be notified and the vehicle cleared.

The passenger can then enter their card details to complete the payment. If payment is successful, you will be informed and the vehicle cleared.

 

If the passenger declines to pay, or the payment fails, the booking will be reverted to a cash booking and the driver will be informed.

If the driver clicks to cancel, the Pay By Link option can no longer be used and the booking will revert to Cash.
